How about another fight, then a page sex scene in the dark.
Nov 24, Mary-Anne rated it did not like it. Just because i liked her character that it made up for his. Unsurprisingly, I found none. A secret society hidden under Alaska?!?!?
I won’t add anything to that, because there’s not much left to tell. Holy Christ, everything about this book was terrible. My very generous rating is because the idea the one behind all the plot was great. I liked the build between Ashla and Trace. It was mostly contained to one chapter as told to us by the H and only implied throughout the rest of the book. Trace knows that Ashla can only exist in Shadowscape and that he can’t safely stay there very long.
I believe they are perfect for each other. I was way too much captivated by this series for the Shadowdwellers world alone. This is what I love the most about this genre, to read about a whole new world which has nothing to do with the real one, a world with it’s own rules and customs. Loved the new twist, interesting and fast paced.
Squick factor for me: Nov 27, Sammy Loves Books rated it liked it Shelves: She has become exceptionally good in fighting, and winning. Jul 16, Robin rated it it was amazing Shelves: Of course, since there’s so much deception going around her, it was good that she went to Sanctuary being wary of everyone. This book from the very first page bothered me. Georganna on May 12, at 4: She is apprehensive about her new life and views it as a prettier prison.
Her spirit refuses to be burnt out. Now, I didn’t particularly invest anything in her writing and should admit that I didn’t like her other books much either. I kept me guessing throughout the book.
REVIEW: Ecstasy by Jacquelyn Frank
As the book starts, Trace, an important political figure in the Shadowdweller world, is visiting Shadowscape in order to battle a traitor. Trace knows this human female is something special but he has to find out just how special. I just love to get lost in a book and all this new information is the easiest way for me to do so. But, the possible downfall of the Sanctuary was also very good and just added to the story.
His goddess has led frabk to a new handmaiden, Daenaira, whom he finds out is a former slave, a fact that horrifies him. Her names Dae Mangus, his man.
Book review: Jacquelyn Frank’s *Ecstasy (The Shadowdwellers)*
Oddly enough, it got a 4 out of 5 for the average reader. I have to say I liked this book better than the first one. I liked the fact that these priests and handmaidens were expected to teach relationship and sexual insight to their Sanctuary students. She lets not one take any shit. It’s a far cry from abstinence which honestly doesn’t help anyone hence all the priests that are rapists.
And the rest of the characters In this second book of the series, Magnus and Dae must learn to compromise and trust in order to survive the plots to overthrow his supremacy jacqelyn the Shadowdwellers’ temple Having jscquelyn to hate the main characters of “Ecstasy”, pa Magnus, Head Priest and catcher of sinners, has lived a life of contented celibacy and idealism which began to unravel in the first of the series, Ecstasy.
Utter freedom is the way of the queen. No, I’m not Okay, again, I liked the idea of the book but. He was explaining the classes in the Sanctuary and then next thing you know she’s blowing up about how hes treating her like ectsasy child. I was glad that I liked her so much at the start because as the frajk progressed and she was still harsh and untrusting, it made liking her more and more difficult. Action, adventure, passion, heat, ecsrasy, poof.
Or, at least, that’s my opinion. Trending Price New. One point is all it jacquellyn in my mind. They therefore live a somewhat nomadic life in Realscape, migrating away from extended daylight hours.
I love how tough she was and Farnk thought she was very true to her Rapture was the second of three books in Jacqulyn Frank’s Shadowdwellers series.
Now this is just a preference thing.
Completely subjective, but I found it neither sexy nor romantic.
